In my practice, using film, video and installation, I am searching for ways of expressing ideas about time, repetition and memory. Often digitally re-working film and found footage, I am interested in the idea of the moment. Using editing techniques, I isolate a moment or short incident of time and see how it can be explored, extended or somehow re-presented, manipulating the footage in order to propose new alternatives with which I hope to challenge perceptions.

I am exploring the areas of overlap in the expression of time and tense between still photography, film and video, testing how the single moment of the photograph can be extended or reduced and how the different temporalities which exist in film and video can express different durational experience. I am interested in exploring these ideas through working in all lens-based media and by combining them and exploring their boundaries.
